» I’M NOT SURE HOW WE ENDED UP WITH A FOOT LAST NIGHT….BUT I’LL TAKE IT! «
Last night the sky opened up and the snow kept coming. The weather service only predicted scattered snow showers but this morning I had to shovel a good 6 inches off my balcony. This is what we call a ‘good problem to have’. The snow that fell last night was that perfect Colorado champagne and it was so light and dry it didn’t even check your speed for you.
With fast bumps and groomers, it was indeed a good day. I skied with a small posse today and left no run untouched. We started off on some short chair 3 laps on Dipsy Headwall, Silver Dip, Blondies, Pump House and Easy chair. Once you got past mid-mountain, the snow really added up. The best snow was in the trees on Back of Bell and Gent’s Ridge. We did a stint in Jackpot and Bingo just to check things out and a great run down Silver Queen. I had another huge wipeout on the Queen going in a bit hot at the entrance. I’m now chewing on Aleve and tomorrow I will be back at it. There is still plenty of powder left and I will not leave any untouched.
