Delta Air Lines Responds to Demand in Aspen/Snowmass by Adding Second Flight to Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, May 4, 2006 - Due to steady demand from customers, Delta Air Lines will offer customers a second daily flight between Aspen/Snowmass and its Western hub in Salt Lake City, effective July 1, 2006. The service is part of Delta´s continued growth in the Salt Lake City hub, as more flights are being added to the more than 100 non-stop destinations that will be served out of Salt Lake City this summer. "Delta is pleased to continue our growth between key leisure Mountain West destinations and Salt Lake City and to make it easier for customers from around the globe to reach the Rocky Mountains of Aspen/Snowmass, to enjoy summer activities such as hiking, mountain biking, golfing or camping," said Bob Cortelyou, vice president, Network and Planning. "We´ve seen a positive response to the first flight announced in March and are excited to see the desire for increased Delta service to Aspen."

"On behalf of the entire business community of Aspen/Snowmass, we are delighted to see that Delta Air Lines has already started to realize the opportunities that exist here and is responding by creating a more competitive schedule," said Bill Tomcich, president of central reservations agency, Stay Aspen Snowmass. "We hope that Delta will continue to see demand in Aspen/Snowmass that exceeds their expectations and that this leads to a very successful long-term relationship with our community."

Delta´s additional service to Aspen/Snowmass will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines with quiet and comfortable Bombardier regional jets. The flights times are as follows:

Salt Lake City is Delta´s fastest growing domestic hub in terms of destinations served. Since October, Delta has added or announced flights to nearly 30 new non-stop destinations from Salt Lake City, including the airline´s 100th destination from Salt Lake City in March. Salt Lake City is Delta´s largest gateway to Hawaii with non-stop service to Honolulu, Maui and Kona; is the only Delta hub to offer customers year-round service to Alaska; and is a growing gateway to Mexico with non-stop service to Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. With its June 2006 schedule, Delta and the Delta Connection carriers offer Salt Lake City customers more than 320 daily flights to more than 100 non-stop destinations.
